Based in Central Florida…Zikraun Art strives to capture the beauty and culture the earth has laid before us. I paint because it gives me a feeling of well being. It really doesn’t matter what mood I’m in, as soon as I start painting I instantly forget about the rest of the world. Most abstract paintings I do are the product of my own thoughts. So, basically, the things I see swirl around in my head until I can get them down through art. I do portraits of people that I admire and respect. So, when it comes to doing portraits I just look for people that inspire me. Since I am a self-taught artist, my direction has really come about by myself. However, I had two great aunts that were both artists. One (Carol) did portraits. The other (Mary Kathryn) was an airbrush artist. So I guess you could say I get my portrait inspiration from Carol and my abstract inspiration from Mary Kathryn. I take a great deal of my inspiration from things I see throughout the day. I paint for myself a great deal and my house is full of different things that I have painted. I pride myself in my use of color because I only work with the painter's six primaries. Currently, Zikraun Art is featuring the work of Heather Graves at Blu Photography. Heather's use of light gives her photographs a "realness" and depth that can sometimes be missed in photography. If you do not see something that interests you here. Feel free to contact me as I do work on commission as well. Thank You for visiting, Zikraun Owner/Artist
