Sobre

I have lived in Tasmania for the past 21 years and have been free diving and scuba diving for the past 10 years. I have done a lot of land based photography, and in 2006, turned to underwater photography. I have a free gallery where images of underwater scenery and sea life can be viewed at www.vizbiz.com.au. I try to dive all around Australia, including diving with the endangered Grey Nurse Sharks in NSW and Giant groupers in QLD. In my underwater photography, I try to capture what some people will never see. It can be challenging at times, but it is always very rewarding. I have undertaken many different under water surveys, and also done species counts of the rare and endangered Handfish. I have also developed tools to aid in these surveys, such as an underwater GPS unit, for location and marking areas and species of interest. In 2009 I was awarded the Barry Davies Memorial Shield from the Tasmanian Scuba Diving club for contributions to the conservation and study of the underwater environment.
