THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PINTS The first rolling Bar was built in Lake Zurich, Illinois by Andy, Chris, Jeff, Marty, Paul, and Ryan. The idea was to bring our community together with a common purpose. We created a centerpiece for our neighborhood where friends and family can get together, share stories, and have a great time. The Traveling Bar moves from house to house encouraging everyone to host a get-together. In turn it strengthens community bonds among adults, teens, and children. Long ago families spent time sitting on their front porches socializing with their neighbors and everybody knew everyone in their neighborhood. Too often, now, in our fast-paced lives, we forget how important community is. We go too long without connecting with our neighbors. Our project has been a great success. We encourage you to build your Community Traveling Bar and send us pictures. THE RULES 1) This is a community project. At least two families have to work together to build your rolling bar. More families mean more fun. 2) All materials must be scavenged from your garages, sheds, neighbors, dumpsters, or anywhere else. NOTHING CAN BE PURCHASED. 3) The bar must be mobile so that it can be rolled, pushed, or pulled from house to house. 4) Enjoy your new neighborhood bar. Use it to host a party in your garage or front yard. Use it as a lemonade stand, buffet, or just something to lean on. 5) Invite the neighbors and bring your community together and have fun.
