Namaste! We are a community of artists creating traditional thangka paintings and mandalas in a small village in Nepal. We also have a workshop where we create wooden Himalayan masks. You can commission your favorite Buddhist mandala and choose size and colors. We can recreate any design on thanka paintings of Buddha, White Tara and any Buddhist and Hindu deities. We create our own canvas with pure cotton cloth primed with Yak skin glue mixed with water and organic clay. The cloth is then stretched with a wooden or metal frame and smoothed with a marble stone. The canvas is then dried to the sun for 3 days. We have also different levels of quality from student to master. In master quality artworks we use pure 24 carat gold for the decorations. After the earthquakes in 2015 our art school was heavily damaged and we are still in the process of rebuilding it. With your help we hope to complete the reconstruction by 2020.
