Rachel Bavis always has whimsy, humor, and the wise musings of Dr. Seuss and Nancy Drew in her tool kit, along with a paintbrush, camera, and chocolate! As a certified intentional creativity coach and teacher working with organizations, individuals and youth, she designs workshops called Healing the Healer to help social workers and other professionals renew and heal secondary traumatic stress to maintain their ongoing health to best serve children and families. After representing social workers for twelve years as an attorney, she embarked on a personal journey, volunteering in communities around the world to explore healing practices. She discovered art to be the most transformational modality for herself and thousands of others around the world after studying Intentional Creativity with the method’s founder, visionary artist Shiloh Sophia. Ms. Bavis received a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications with a minor in Studio Art from Hunter College, City University of New York. She believes creativity, play and whimsy are at the heart of knowing our own wisdom as she invites us on this coloring journey. Find her at www.rachelbavis.com
