Growing up in Florida we did a lot of swimming. Aside from that I never really spent much time out in nature. I was literally afraid of every bug and every sharp blade of grass. I would run from butterflies.....not kidding!!!!!!! I met a boy, now my husband and he LOVED to garden and LOVED to spend time outdoors. He would show me all sorts of plants and we would go to local botanical gardens often. I used to be like "you see one plant, you see them all" I would hear every bug wiz pass and felt every tickle on my skin, I was so on edge and just scared. I would try to garden, see a bug and instantly get the "heebeegeebees" then run inside. I wish I could say I remembered the moment that it all changed, could be when my husband showed me the mimosa grass (it moves when you touch it). Maybe it was when I let a butterfly land on me for the first time, realizing it wasn't trying to kill me. To be honest, I don't know what changed but my fear of outdoors was changing. I wish so much I can make everyone experience this peace I now feel in nature. To think I could have missed out on this amazing sense of peace, love and tranquility. I will always be grateful to my husband for opening my eyes to something I would most certainly have missed and even feared. There have been dark moments in my life...everyone has them. Hard times that you think are impossible to overcome. My family is what kept me hanging on but nature is what brought me peace and light. Once my eyes were open to nature, I started to see things differently. The food I feed myself and my family are no exception. We discovered the benefits of raw milk, fermented foods, freshly grown fruits, veggies and herbs. The list goes on and on. We started a small ETSY shop where we sell our milk kefir grains, fruit seeds, and trees. I wanted to also add in some items that supported our love of all things nature. I originally found Zazzle to make our store logo. I was very impressed with zazzles quality and prices.
