Art has been a life long passion, just one that took the backseat to earning a living. I began doodling characters and cutting the creations out. Leaving them in coworkers work spaces to bring an unexpected smile. I incorporated a silly doodle with a "happy" quote, after seeing a friend paint cards with inspirational quotes. This blossomed into making laminated cards with quote on the opposite side of the creature. I handed the cards out at random when I felt like someone needed a smile. Several friends suggested I sell my creations. But I was happy just giving them away. Then my wee dog got out of the yard and was hit by a car. He's fine, now. But the massive vet bills pushed me into trying this as a business. Life has a funny way of pushing you in new directions. Now I'm actually pursuing my dream about doing a children's book...telling the stories that pop into my head when I draw some of my monsters. How Leggs wants to be a ballerina. I'm open to custom orders if you have an idea about a different character or specific colors that might suit your taste. None of my monsters are static in their colors - when I hand create an item for someone, each one comes out different even when I'm trying to make it the same. Like fingerprints, snowflakes and us, none are the same.
