This store is my first serious foray into the world of selling my art. I have been making art for years, first for self-expression and just plain fun, later toward my degree in art therapy, then for self-care / sanity preservation. However, I have found myself parting ways with my originals due to outside forces - damage, lack of appropriate storage, moving-related decisions - long before I can show / enter / or properly share them with the world, leaving me very reluctant to part with or publicly display my remaining originals. As a fairly private person, I've been very hesitant to engage with social media, not knowing how my art and my personal information would be protected. I stumbled across Zazzle on a Christmas-gift hunt and decided this would be an elegant compromise. Offering intellectual property protections and allowing sale of reproductions of my art on products, Zazzle's setup meant I could see my art displayed on a shirt, a wall hanging or a puzzle, and still keep my originals secure. My creative process has a mind of its own, so depending upon what slice of life sparks a particular flow, you may find a highly-detailed ink rendering bringing elegance to the mundane, a mischievous still-life meant to mess with its viewer, or a detour into science as my inner nerd found a moment to interject.
