In 1959 I began my journey in art at New York’s High School of Art and Design. There I developed a passion for art history and for creating my own art. My love of art continued at the famous School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. After completing my studies I was drafted into military service in Viet Nam. Although my life took a significant turn, I never lost the desire nor ability to create. When I paint a musician or a landscape I want you to feel it, hear it and smell it. When I paint a woman, with a roar of impossible color, I want you to exclaim, “Yes, I get that!”
