Lemons to Lemonade was established in 2022 after a series of unfortunate events that followed our October wedding. Shortly after marriage, my husband and I suffered the miscarriage of our first child, Harper Elisabeth. Our pregnancy loss was identified as a rare, partial molar pregnancy, which quickly turned into cancer (gestational tropoblastic neoplasia). After a summer of receiving chemotherapy, I am now in remission. We were not able to try again for a baby for a year following, so instead of being discouraged, we took that time to turn the life lemons we were given, into lemonade by traveling and making memories while we were waiting for the greenlight to try and expand our family again. Comparably, I experienced an outpouring of creative energy and a fascination with transforming what some would call “trash,” into something beautiful- another reflection of turning a lemon into lemonade! From there, our small business was born! We are happy to announce, we have now been blessed with our rainbow baby! “After the storm; a rainbow waits for you. If it were not for the struggles; how would we ever learn to endure?” With having had two challenging pregnancies, we have decided to pursue the route of adoption for our second child.
