Sobre

I am a graphic artist, illustrator, handmade artisan, and amateur photographer in my 30’s. I’m a Spanish-born-English-learned, tropical-blooded, island born-and-raised girl from Puerto Rico currently living in the Indianapolis Metro Area, after 3 years spent adventuring in the San Francisco Bay area. I’m a little silly and a little serious, but always a dreamer. I’ve been doing something artsy as of the past 15 years and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Arts, specializing in print-making but my passions have always been geared more towards design and illustration. I started creating t-shirt designs for screen-printing while in college and it just went on from there, eventually having a small homemade screen-printing area in my home where I designed and printed shirts to be sold at indie concerts and events like that. I like making cute, colorful, and bright designs, often times inspired by Japanese Kawaii. Born and raised on a tropical island, my first designs had a surfer, tropical feel to them, and I still enjoy returning to these elements from time to time. The time spent in the indie scene while in college introduced a taste for sometimes dark and grungy themes, and this is too is sometimes reflected in my work. In addition to print media design I also design and create handmade jewelry and accessories, focusing on paper elements such as origami, and wire, stone and crystals. My personal tumblr blog showcases some of my handmade and craft work, as well as design sketches, photographic work, and the occasional rant and random thought.
