About the artist: Jerome Guzy, American 1960-2009 was a minimalist and optical painter. He often incorporated collage and meticulously layered and abutted 3D elements in his pieces.  The results are brilliantly executed optical adventures ranging from the subtle to the dynamic. Each piece is a journey of discovery for the viewer in its precise and calculated alignment, color and texture. His early education in the fine arts was gained at Carnegie Mellon University and Penn State University. He served as assistant to Zeljko Kujundzic, noted ceramic sculptor. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon, he attended the Touchstone Center for the Arts in Farmington. Pennsylvania. He toured Europe for a year and then returned to the US to continue painting at studios in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Miami, Florida at the Bakehouse Art Complex. His work has been exhibited in selected shows and private collection throughout the United States.
