I feel I was born to be an aritst. Seeing a Frida Kahlo exhibit when I was 8, her eyes called to me. Since then, I felt my destiny to visually capture my own reality. I strayed from that calling and had two wake up calls-- a traumatic brain injury and recently a broken leg. I believe in authenticity, acceptance, and self liberation. I wish that for everyone. My art fluctuates from intricate meditations, exploding color and feeling, and destructing perceived knowledge-- through it all I create my own world. I invite you to do the same. Things about my life integral to getting me to this point: I studied art and lived in Tasmania, Australia, a hidden gem of wild landscape, dark history, and a true bohemia. I taught surfing at Surf Diva and fucked around, painted, and had a great time for quite awhile. My first "art job" was as an in-house graphic artist at Mad Engine-- A commercial t-shirt machine, where I tried my weird art aesthetic with licenses and stores such as Marvel Comics, Star Wars, Urban Outfitters, Op, Beverly Hills 90210, Hot Topic and more... Currently, I'm going for it... Creating art, illustration, design for a variety of apparel brands, art commissions, yoga centers, my dj friends, whatever comes along. Life inspires me: my friends, personal spirituality, electronic music, tribes of eccentrics, birds, thrift stores 1970s visual finds...
