I'm an artist and gardener who has done both all my life. Gallery 3000AD was a bohemian little art gallery I operated in New Orleans for 7 years selling my works and of course others. It was a fun place. I've sold tons of works at the French Market in New Orleans over the years and have jewelry and artwork in most countries from those days. I've worked in, and still do, in many mediums, from fired pottery to my current concrete Rock Pots, which I love and am still pioneering new techniques in that medium. These pots have a natural terrestrial look and both blend with nature while standing out. Our space in New Orleans was land cramped and now have plenty of space to create and grow. I do love DeLand, yet miss the bohemian and creative artistic friends and art loving patrons of my New orleans days. I was there for 21 years. After the Gallery, we operated and owned the coolest little restaurant on Magazine street called 'Winnie's Artsy Cafe' in the same space and building as the gallery ,and I still continued to sell and create and sell others works even then for another 8 years before and after the hurricane Katrina, sold it and moved here for aging family reasons. I currently still sell my works around the area here and grow and sell unusual plants at local markets and from here at home, and work with other locals in their gardens. I Do keep busy, and its just impossible it seems to commit to only one interest or medium......I'm also one of those lifelong philosopher types I suppose... That would be about all I think I can think of to say about me, sooooo... I paint and create whatever comes to mind out of whatever I have or find from paintings on canvas to sculptures, light fixtures, jewelry, tiles and on goes the list. Did I forget to say I also grow unusual plants and am still growing myself? forever and ever... If anyone sees a pattern in my work they like, I can create custom items even combining mediums and forms. Thank you, David Paul
