Being diagnosed with cancer at 11 years old really…SUCKS. Unfortunately, that was the reality for Dylan and his parents, Matthew & Jasmine Corcoran, who on June 15th, 2022 got the news from doctors that Dylan had B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia – a type of blood cancer. Just 5 days earlier, Dylan’s family was getting ready for a trip to Walt Disney World. He hadn’t been feeling great, and his parents noticed he wasn’t getting better from whatever was slowing him down. So instead of making their way to the “most magical place on earth”, they drove Dylan to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Rather than enjoying a week of fun rides, good food & open air – Dylan has laid in bed, eaten hospital food, been poked & prodded and has had multiple diagnostic surgeries/biopsies. His & his family’s journey is far from over… Dylan is an amazing 11-year-old – big brother, quarterback of his football team, state-champion bible quizzer, praise-team drummer and the most well-behaved person you’re ever going to meet. His parents, Matt & Jasmine are amazing people, who have overcome huge odds, while loving to serve and help others. With a diagnosis of leukemia, he’s looking at a three-year treatment plan – which starts with an aggressive eight months of chemotherapy, living with a Port-a-cath, and multiple trips to the hospital every week. This will take its toll financially for his family, and why this fundraiser has been formed. He will recover! He’s strong and has a huge support system – Dylan’s Crew. Show your support for Dylan!
