BULL SWAMP FOLK ART began the way most good Southern things do — with stories on a front porch, a sketchpad on a knee, and somebody saying, “Now that ain’t exactly how it happened… but it’s close.” Down in BULL SWAMP (a real place, and also a state of mind), we’ve always loved the little moments — small towns, old buildings, front-porch conversations, back-road adventures, and the people who make them unforgettable. Over time, those stories turned into drawings, and those drawings turned into folk art. Today, BULL SWAMP FOLK ART turns those hand-drawn stories into something you can use, hang, wear, and share. Our artwork is printed on everything from posters and cards to mugs, stickers, and home décor — everyday items that quietly carry a story inside them. We don’t sell the stories themselves here. We sell the pictures that grew out of them. Every design starts the same way — with a memory, a place, or a moment that feels real, even when it’s a little exaggerated. That’s what we call “almost-true folk art.” It’s not about perfect lines or polished fancy. It’s about warmth, character, humor, and heart. If something from BULL SWAMP FOLK ART makes you smile, remember a place you love, or feel like you’ve been there before… then it’s doing its job. Welcome to the porch. Stay as long as you like.
