Art creations from a brain injury survivor. Adam has battled Crohn's Disease since he was nine years old. In early 2011, he suffered severe permanent brain damage as a rare side effect of a drug he was on to treat his Crohn's. The damage was caused by a viral brain infection that caused PML (Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy). The majority of PML cases are usually fatal. Since contracting PML, and enduring extensive damage to his lower left brain, Adam's quality of life and physical capabilities have been greatly affected. He's lost significant function in the entire right side of his body, he has a very limited field of vision in his right eye, often double vision in his left eye, and he suffers from aphasia and apraxia (he cannot read and his speech is limited).
