Abigail Wilson is an emerging artist in Nelson, BC. Abby spends her summers hiking in the West Kootenay and strives to capture her love of the local mountains with bright, colourful acrylic landscapes. Working from photographs as well as pencil, ink, and watercolour sketches made along the trail, Abby works to develop paintings that focus on the majesty of the mountain landscapes. She uses colour and shape to push the structure of the mountains towards the surreal, striving to capture the feelings of otherworldly bliss and awe that come with exploring these wild places.
