The sparkling beauty of Lake Baikal, the endless Siberian taiga, the mysterious ancient cities of Uzbekistan, the sharp Altay Mountains, these are just a few of the memories I have as the daughter of a Russian air force pilot as we traveled the vast country of my birth. All my life I have loved to travel, and my mind teems with images of other cities and countries I've visited with my husband and son. What can be better than...Scotland landscapes or "Colorado the beautiful"? Yes, you can capture scenes with a camera, but I want to delve more deeply into my emotional responses to these memories, and I am lucky that I can do this with my paintings.
