I want to share this beautiful collection of folk art images painted by my late grandmother, Catherine Beardsley. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she came to the United States as a young girl. She always believed in "making something out of nothing" and began to paint while in her sixties. Painting primarily on wood clapboards, boxes, and furniture, her folk art was influenced strongly by her love of old houses, especially in Newburyport, MA where she lived and painted until her death. This is her legacy.
