I've always been an artist. Moreover, following on the heels of a thirty-year career in the bowels of the wine business, and an ongoing eighteen years long, full-on war with Parkinson's Disease, I was simply running out of space in my home for all of the artwork that I was churning out. After noticing that my artwork seemed to consistently bring joy to the recipients of it, I came to the realization that "No, I didn't have to be poor, mad Vincent, and not sell a work in my whole life!" So, a few years into my second career as Monsieur artiste, after trying on the gallery thing for size, I now come to you, right into your own home, my supplicant's hat in hand, saying "Buy from me, please." But why should you buy from me? Well, shucks. Let me ponder a moment. A) My work is original. Sometimes, the angles just add up wrong, but they still add up to an eye-catching, unique viewpoint. I might break every composition rule in the book, by God, but it is going to be a fun ride! I did it my way... B) Because you like It! Or the person for whom you are buying will like It! I don't get into battles over good or bad, tasteful or no. if you like it, it is good. Buy it! Thank you very much and come again! C) Parkinson's Disease. I have this terrible, debilitating and soul-crushing disease. And I've had it for a third of my life. I am committing 5% of my royalties to the Capital Area Parkinson's Society in Austin, Texas - my hometown. A more determined, caring, loving, scrappy fighters against Parkinson's you simply will not find. I fight for the cause. And so will you, with every purchase from me in my store. What more can I say?
