Pôster Innes Ireland Helmet

Robert McGregor Innes Ireland, 1930 – 1993 Ireland was a larger-than-life character who started racing after serving in the British Army Parachute Regiment. Ireland began racing in 1954. Success in sports car racing saw him make his Formula One debut for Team Lotus in 1959.In 1960 he won three non-championship Formula One races. 1961 he finished the season with a victory in the United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen. Ireland achieved all this while competing against all of the top Formula One drivers of that times. During his great success, Innes Ireland wore a white Bell Magnum Open-Face helmet with the famous checkered stripes around it.
