Ímã Flamingos in Bonaire Dutch Caribbean

Bonaire, one of the Dutch Caribbean’s “ABC Islands,” is a sanctuary for wildlife—especially the elegant and unmistakable Caribbean flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber). The island's salt flats and shallow lagoons provide an ideal habitat for these iconic pink birds, which feed on brine shrimp and algae-rich waters that help give them their vibrant coloration.
