Unusual Dog & Cat Ties

I like cat & dog apparel as much as the next person. One of my favorite tops has a huge pic of my English Toy, but a tie for a guy is not the place for one repeated photo no matter how adorable. I enjoy the challenge of designing breed ties with a bit more subtlety because I’m partial to design harmony BEFORE one even notices the dogs or cats. I’ve exhibited both cats and dogs so believe me when I say I’ve seen many breed specific ties worn by owners and even judges and they were not all created equal. My goal in creating a new design for a tie is that it be wearable first and foremost. In my opinion, you shouldn’t be able to see the dog or cat from across the show ring but when you’re close enough to shake hands with a competitor that’s when it should become noticeable. And that’s when you’ll hear a compliment like “Wow, nice tie”. I often add a bit of whimsy & fun in my designs, some of them are really not what they appear to be at first glance so look again, you may be surprised.
