However you spell it, Tu Bishvat, Tu B'Shvat, or Tu B'Shevat", it is a joyful holiday. Also called the New Year of the Trees, falling in February, this is when new trees are planted in Israel. The weather is perfect, well enough into winter for the rains to provide natural irrigation and with enough sunny days to give the energy required to grow, but early enough to allow the trees to become established enough to be able to stand the coming hot days of summer.
