Penguin Fun

Nico was born with a condition called young bone age, which means his skeletal development is delayed. Bone age in children helps measure physiological maturity and aids in the diagnosis of growth abnormalities, endocrine disorders and other medical conditions. Thanks to the care of CHOC’s endocrinology team, Nico is living his best life as an active nine-year-old. He loves playing baseball, soccer and running. While he’s a busy fourth grader right now, who enjoys math, Nico is looking forward to fifth grade, when he can run for student council. This darling mini masterpiece of topsy-turvy penguins creating a snowbear was created by CHOC patient Nico with the help of art mentor, Lori Wolsky.
