North Korea (DPRK)

North Korea, officially known as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), is a country located in East Asia. It occupies the northern half of the Korean Peninsula and shares borders with China and Russia to the north, along the Yalu (Amnok) and Tumen rivers. To the south, it faces South Korea across the Korean Demilitarized Zone. The western border is formed by the Yellow Sea, while the eastern border is defined by the Sea of Japan. Pyongyang serves as the capital and largest city.
