Magnolia Flowers in Photographs

Magnolia is a beautiful flowering plant, though often referred to as a flowering tree. The blossoms of many magnolias are extremely large measuring more than six inches in diameter when fully opened. The magnolia aroma is as intoxicating as the flowers are brilliantly colored. Magnolia is an ancient genus. Appearing before bees evolved, the flowers are theorized to have evolved to encourage pollination by beetles. (Gotta love Wikipedia!)
