Honeybee Collection
Meet the honeybees of my backyard pollinator meadow. This collection gathers close-up moments with these small, steady workers as they move through clover and wildflowers — feeding, pausing, taking flight. Every shot happens in the same patch of ground I planted and now tend by hand, spending quiet time there watching who shows up each day.
Macro photography asks for patience more than anything else. These bees weren't posed or staged; each frame is the result of waiting, moving slowly, and letting them go about their business undisturbed. I talk to them softly while I work, and more often than not, they linger a little longer than they need to. What you see here is what pollination actually looks like up close: fine hair catching the light, wings thin as glass, legs dusted heavy with pollen.
The Honeybee Collection is for anyone who slows down enough to notice the small creatures quietly holding up the rest of the meadow — one bloom, one bee, one patient moment at a time.
