Christmas Tangrams - Nativity

A tangram is an ancient Chinese puzzle with 7 pieces, called tans. When assembled, their original shape is a square. These pieces can be rearranged to form many other shapes. These shapes are silhouetted or shadows of images. The puzzle is to see the outline and figure out how to recreate it using the 7 tans. Each of the tangrams in the Nativity set are all made with the same 7 tans. Celebrate Christmas and the birth of the Christ Child with some fun tangram magnet puzzles in honor of the Nativity. Carefully cut the 7 tans apart and then solve these original puzzles. The solutions are provided on each magnet, if the festive puzzler needs some hints! (The solutions can also be cut out and displayed to make a miniature Nativity scene.) These same pieces can be used to make and solve other tangram puzzles. Don't tell your tangram puzzlers that tangrams have educational value. They'll just think they're having fun!
