The next American total solar eclipse is on August 12, 2045. It will begin on the Pacific coast of California and travel southeast through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama before exiting on the East coast of Florida to the Bahamas and on to South America.
